Boavista is considered one of the best areas of Porto. In contrast with the historical centre of Porto, it is quite modern, not characterized by narrow streets and besides being a centre for commerce, it is a business centre and has many hotels. Furthermore, it is considered a good area to live. With the same name, there is the famous Avenida da Boavista, which crosses the parishes of Cedofeita, Massarelos, Lordelo do Ouro, Ramalde, Aldoar and Nevogilde. The avenue starts at the Mouzinho de Albuquerque Square, commonly known as the Boavista roundabout, and goes up to the Castelo do Queijo, in Foz do Porto. It is a route that is worth doing and the best known attractions close by are the Bom Sucesso Market, the Casa da Música, the Botanical Garden of Porto and the City Park.
