Scunthorpe is a town in the county of Lincolnshire, in the east of England. Located in North Lincolnshire, it is surrounded by rural countryside and is close to the North Sea.

Scunthorpe is a historic industrial town, known for its steel production and mining history. The city is also famous for its football team, Scunthorpe United, which plays in Football League Two, the English fourth division. Scunthorpe is a medium sized town with a population of around 82,000. It is located about 35 km northwest of the town of Lincoln and about 22 km west of Grimsby.
